What is Kenosis?
Kenosis is one of the growing, reliable and committed volunteer abroad organizations and creates a verity of services projects and internships overseas. All participants receive unparalleled in-country support from our full-time, professional staff to ensure that the experience is safe, worthwhile and fun.
Kenosis offer overseas voluntary work placements including teaching, care, conservation & environment, medicine & healthcare, journalism, law & human rights, international health and community development, entrepreneurship and business, and more for short term to long term placements. This initiative helps young people to get involved in social development projects, gather information and develop knowledge, boost their personal, family and professional skills. Thus creating sustainable projects across world, where no organization and groups worked or exist today. All our programs are around the year, flexible start and end date, affordable prices, and few weeks to months and years. With our global reach, we offer the widest range of volunteer projects and locations, and our own dedicated staff are on hand 24/7 to make sure our volunteers make the most of their experience and leave a lasting, positive impact.
We also believe in supporting long-term economic and skills development in the countries where we work, which is why we have established several support offices in developing countries, including an IT office in Romania, a design office in Mexico, a finance office in Mongolia and a volunteer support and recruitment team in South Africa.
We are not a funded organization, nor have our own funds and local resources to take care daily operation and sustain our projects. We therefore solely rely 100% on and international volunteers, internship students and funding partners only.
Conceived by Issac Rayappan, a missionary from the Catholic religious congregation of Holy Cross Society. He received his master’s degree in social work in May of 2006; with a specialization in health and community development projects, as well as organization management. Kenosis is managed by a team of professionals who have previously worked with various corporations and have now dedicated their careers to making a difference in social welfare.
