Teaching English in local schools

They really work hard to make your experience rewarding and valuable. Your responsibility as a volunteer is to go with clear expectations of the task. It is not a vacation, but you do have time to do fun excursions at the weekends, so you have the bonus of doing the typical touristy things at the weekend and living like a local during the week. It is the best blend of vacation. I meet wonderful young people in the youth employment skills training centre and in the rural communities, who shared a commitment to contributing to the well-being of others and the environment. I can’t think of a better way to spend my time. I am sure, I shall return with other companions who in deed want to explore India in the future.
